Overview
The IEEE Council on RFID organizes leading conferences for researchers, engineers, and industry experts to discuss advances in RFID technology and systems, with a particular emphasis on radio frequency identification and the Internet of Things.
These events provide dynamic forums for presenting cutting-edge research, fostering collaboration, and advancing innovation across disciplines.
Flagship Conferences
IEEE RFID
The leading conference promoted by the IEEE Council on RFID that offers a unique opportunity to share, discuss, and witness research results in all areas of RFID technologies and their applications. Presentations via special sessions, papers, posters, tutorials and workshops provide a multitude of learning opportunities for academic and industry professionals to procure the latest information on RFID.
IEEE RFID-TA
The annual IEEE RFID-TA 2025 provides a forum for advancing RFID technology and practice. It aims at strengthening relations between industry, research institutions, and academia. This prestigious conference provides a platform for new ideas and ongoing research in the areas of RFID and related technologies.
IEEE DTPI
The IEEE annual conference features cutting-edge research and technical progress in the rapidly evolving field of digital twinning. The conference aims to bring together scholars and industrial practitioners to share scientific and technological advances and to gain a deeper understanding of generating digital twins and deriving parallel intelligence. DTPI’s particular topics also include standards, theory, practice, and various vertical applications of DTPI, such as smart cities, transportation, energy, robotics, manufacturing, healthcare, and spectrum management.
IEEE ORSS
IEEE Opportunity Research Scholars Symposium (ORSS) is open to undergraduate or masters* student co-authors from any institution. Topics of interest include subject matter research within the field of electrical and computer engineering, including computer science, data science, robotics, and applications. A student researcher must co-author all papers with at least one faculty co-author or a similar PhD mentor.
Co-Sponsored Conferences
IEEE AMES
Annual International Conference on Additively Manufactured Electronic Systems
Technically Co-Sponsored Conferences
IEEE IFETC
IEEE IFETC is dedicated to flexible electronics technologies for sensors, displays, wearable devices, and large area flexible and stretchable electronic systems. The growing field of flexible electronics is being continuously challenged by the growing demands for systems with better quality, adaptation to human body for health applications, lower cost, greener manufacturing, sustainability, durability, and mechanical stretchability. The field goes beyond flexible displays and wearable systems to all pervasive human-machine-environment interfaces, with major implications in communications, robotics, biomedical and health applications. The materials and manufacturing techniques at all levels have become increasingly critical for the electronics community to connect device technologies, advanced additive manufacturing, and circuits & systems. IFETC is the annual conference that presents a forum for engineers and scientists to get together and present the recent developments in technology development, device engineering, and systems integration.
IEEE WPTCE
IEEE Wireless Power Technology Conference and Expo is the largest event in the world for wireless power research and industry engagement, covering a wide range of topics, applications, frequencies, and power levels.
